Sterling Silver and Copper Wire Woven Arizona Petrified Wood Necklace, Petrified Wood Pendant
I personally found this beautiful piece of petrified wood around Snowflake, AZ. I cut and polished it (my first circle cut stone! Which, if you are a lapidarist, you know the challenges of a "perfect circle"), then set it in a prong copper wire wrap to show off its beautiful grain that has hints of pink. This particular piece brings the image of Jupiter to mind.
Petrified wood found in Arizona has been dated as far back as the Late Triassic Epoch, about 225 million years ago (mya).
This small petrified wood necklace, including the bail, measures 1 3/8" x 13/16"
